This programme aims to enhance your confidence, self-awareness and active listening skills while focusing on community action. It also offers an international perspective, exploring how different societies view mental health based on their personal, social and political experiences and surroundings. By the end of the course, you will have the necessary professional skills and personal qualities to help others.
At Edge Hill, we also invest in your emotional development by providing you with a £500 budget for therapy sessions. Additionally, we teach you how to initiate group work. As a graduate, you will possess qualities such as social awareness, political engagement, and empathy. This degree prepares you for further training in counselling and psychotherapy. If you aspire to become a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist at the undergraduate level, check out our BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy course.
