Children’s Learning and Development BA (Hons)

Our cutting-edge course will challenge your perspectives and provide you with a comprehensive understanding of children and childhood from ages 5 to 11. You'll examine a wide range of academic approaches, including history, politics, philosophy, psychology, and sociology, to unpack the complexities and challenges of how children live, develop, and learn. Our course includes real-life case studies that offer an international perspective on children, childhood, and education.

You'll also discover how different influences impact children's learning, and how technology can enhance their development. We have connections with over 2,000 organizations, including zoos and museums, to provide you with work-based learning opportunities and help you stand out to employers with well-rounded experience in the field. Upon graduation from our children's learning and development degree, you'll be equipped with the skills to become an effective children's practitioner, skilled in active listening and effective communication.
