English Language and Philosophy

The Department of English Language and Philosophy at Cardiff University offers a unique one-year BA (Hons) in English Language and Philosophy. This is a year-long, post-graduate taught course which requires a significant research component. The first year is spent preparing you for the two-year MPhil in English, Philosophy and Language Studies. The course provides you with a thorough grounding in the philosophy of language, and you will also have the opportunity to explore related areas such as literary criticism and literary theory.
