Bioinformatics

The Biophysics and Structural Biology Group at Cardiff University is the world leader in research in the area of Bioinformatics, in which the development of new methods and applications for the analysis and interpretation of large amounts of biological data is undertaken. We are involved in a broad range of projects including: sequencing genomes, developing gene expression profiling, and working on the identification and analysis of functional elements in eukaryotic genomes.
