English Language and English Literature (with Foundation Year) BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) English Language and English Literature with Foundation Year in Bangor is a four year course, with the third year being an 'optional' foundation year. The English Literature course is designed to give students a broad and comprehensive understanding of the English literary tradition. It covers key areas of literary study including the history of English literature, the major periods and genres of English literature, and key works and authors from a variety of periods and cultures. Students will also be introduced to the historical context of English literature, and to the cultural and social values and attitudes of the past.
