Biology (with Foundation Year) BSc (Hons)

Biology at Bangor is an interdisciplinary study of all aspects of life from the microscopic to the whole organism. The focus of the program is to provide a solid introduction to biology to undergraduate students including the history and philosophy of science, biology and the study of human health. The first year of the program will cover the key areas of the life sciences, including the chemical and physical basis of life, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, physiology, and anatomy. Students will develop a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of biology through a series of examinations in the first year of the program.
