Computer Graphics, Vision and Games (with integrated year in industry)

Aberystwyth University is one of the leading institutions for computer graphics and computer graphics education in the UK. The department is a strong proponent of the Open Source software movement, and the University has developed the Aberystwyth 3D Consortium to provide the software and hardware infrastructure needed for the successful education and research in this area. The Computer Game Design and Development course has a strong focus on game development and the integration of graphics and sound, and a particular awareness of the issues of virtual and augmented reality. It is also very popular with students from the School of Mechanical Engineering.
